Web Developer

Gazelle is looking for someone to join our team and help build innovative web experiences to expand our leadership position in online electronics tradein.

This position in our web development team is responsible for collaborating on and transforming ideas into compelling user experiences. You will play a key role in development of client-side interactivity using popular open-source Javascript frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to define and ensure completeness of features
  • Collaborate on system architecture designs
  • Write well-tested, reusable JavaScript, HTML, and CSS and supporting view code
  • Work with QA to plan and execute testing of new features
  • Participate in task/feature estimation
  • Provide technical feedback to aid in gathering of requirements
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing code reviews


Qualifications

  • Experience building and maintaining high volume multi-tier website applications
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails or Spring/JSP

Product Manager

We are looking for an experienced product manager to help continue to evolve Gazelle’s web experience to deliver a crazy awesome experience to our customers. The ideal candidate will blend strategic insights with rock solid execution to identify and prioritize opportunities, define products, and drive concepts from the business requirements to implementation.  The product manager will play an integral role in the ongoing innovation and differentiation of our industry-leading consumer electronics trade-in service. 

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze key performance indicators to identify opportunities to enhance the user experience and drive increased conversion rates.
  • Actively partner with Gazelle’s marketing, customer experience and customer care teams to develop features that drive customer acquisition, engagement and satisfaction.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to define product specifications, establish milestones, and manage the development, implementation and evolution of the website experience.
  • Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to create key product improvements and experiences.
  • Develop use cases, requirements, and wireframes for website enhancements.
  • Ensure new features are thoroughly tested prior to launch.
  • Assist in managing prioritization of new site features, enhancements and bug fixes.
  • Monitor key conversion metrics and a/b tests to continually optimize the user experience.
  • Monitor competitors and benchmark broader web best practices to identify opportunities to evolve Gazelle’s user experience

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of product management experience; consumer web experience strongly preferred.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to find insights in diverse data sets.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail.

Senior Marketing Analyst

We are looking for a strong performer to support both marketing and product management, providing analysis of all customer acquisition and website related analytics.  The highly-motivated candidate will have a strong ability to collect insight from marketing efforts, summarize their analyses and report findings to the marketing organization. We’re searching for a candidate that will work closely with team internally to provide feedback and reporting on key initiatives as well as day-to-day results on marketing activities and website performance.  Candidates should have a strong background in mathematics or analysis and be comfortable working with Excel and SQL.  The ideal candidate is highly motivated, naturally curious and has a strong desire to work closely with the team to improve marketing effectiveness, website performance, and the customer experience.

Responsibilities
Customer Acquisition/Marketing Responsibilities

  • Ownership of all marketing-related data and reporting as it relates to customer acquisition efforts, repeat/retention metrics.
  • Provide daily/weekly/monthly reporting of performance relative to specific KPIs and goals.  Summarize reports with thoughtful analysis and insight to drive decision-making.
  • Maintain all campaign tracking as it feeds into reporting and data efforts.  In concert with other members of the marketing team, develop and maintain an overall campaign tracking schema and ongoing maintenance of it.
  • Manage customer segmentation analyses to understand specific customer behavior and patterns of activity to feed development of programs to drive increase transaction activity from the existing customer base.


Product Management Responsibilities

  • Provide regular reporting on website performance, opportunities for improvement and comparison to KPIs.
  • Leverage Google Analytics to provide specific insights into website performance and identify key opportunities on the site to drive increased conversion.
  • Support ongoing website optimization through analysis of abandonment points on the site, A/B testing results and provide impact analysis for key changes to the website.
  • Support survey work to track customer satisfaction as well as research new opportunities to fuel growth within the customer base or enhance the experience.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Marketing or Bachelor’s degree combined with relevant professional experience.
  • Strong organizational and analytic skills, detail-oriented and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to find insights in diverse data sets
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environment

Customer Care Representative

The Customer Care representative is a dynamic and motivated customer service professional committed to and responsible for providing high quality service and support to Gazelle.com visitors and customers. They are the frontline of customer communication and are able to build an excellent rapport with both visitors and customers. Communication is primarily via the email, live chat and telephone.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides timely follow-up and resolution to customer issues.
  • Resolves issues according to Gazelle.com policies.
  • Quickly and efficiently escalates non-routine issues per defined escalations policies.
  • Educates inquirers on Gazelle.com products, services and policies.
  • Assists customers with Gazelle.com procedures, general inquiries, pricing, and how Gazelle.com   works.
  • Assists other departments as needed, such as Marketing, Product Management, or IT.
  • Enters detailed information in the company Management Console for every issue handled.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service role, call center experience a plus.
  • Excellent customer service and computer skills.
  • Problem solving - the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully and maintains confidentiality.
  • Interpersonal skills - the individual speaks clearly and confidently, and with empathy and understanding of the customers' situation, whether positive or negative.

Ruby on Rails Developer

We're expanding our team of creative, passionate Ruby on Rails programmers to help us build our product and scale up our systems to support a rapidly growing business.We don't require ninjas, rock stars, pirates, robots, zombies or unicorns. We want programmers who love coding and want to help build an awesome web site that will make our customers' day.

Our team is very collaborative, working directly with QA and our stakeholders at all stages of the development process. We develop on Macs and Linux, deploy on Ubuntu, scale on EC2 and use open-source tools. We write automated tests for everything we build using RSpec, Cucumber, and Selenium. We constantly review and improve our process and our code.

Responsibilities

  • write well-tested, readable, reusable Ruby, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • work with QA to plan and execute testing of new features
  • work with stakeholders to ensure completeness and correctness of features
