Director of Business Development
We're expanding our team of creative, passionate Ruby on Rails programmers to help us build our product and scale up our systems to support a rapidly growing business.
We don't require ninjas, rock stars, pirates, robots, zombies or unicorns. We want programmers who love coding and want to help build an awesome web site that will make our customers' day.
Our team is very collaborative, working directly with QA and our stakeholders at all stages of the development process. We develop on Macs and Linux, deploy on Ubuntu, scale on EC2 and use open-source tools. We write automated tests for everything we build using RSpec, Cucumber, and Selenium. We constantly review and improve our process and our code.

We are seeking an organized, pro-active, high-energy, driven, self-starter as Director of Business Development to drive the Gazelle business to all new levels of partnership and engagement in support of our acquisition efforts. This role is business to business oriented, and you will be expected to balance strategy and tactics to get things done, not just make things happen. Attitude and aptitude are valued as well as experience for this role. The Director of Business Development will report directly to the VP of Business Development & Partnerships
You will:
* Lead acquisition partner strategy execution: pro-actively identify partnership opportunities, evaluate in-bound partnership inquiries to build overall pipeline of partner prospects; Identify contacts, establish dialogue, finalize partnership structures and close agreements.
*Ensure strategic and tactical decisions are tied back to and support company’s strategic and financial goals.
* Keep the pulse on competitor and market analysis
* Work well with product managers and engineers to deliver products/programs to external partners. This will include scoping project requirements, briefing customer needs, creating timescales, and prioritizing features.
* Liaise with marketing and engineering teams, as well as outside agencies, to ensure implementation is consistent with both Gazelle and partner goals.
* Serve as the lead interface in regard to program status, business and other related matters, managing the expectations and satisfaction of the external partner to leverage new and repeated business.
* Conduct reviews of partner and program performance and forecast future performance; provide status information to external partners and internal management in a timely manner. Identify opportunities to optimize partner programs.
* Create and maintain effective business development materials to feature the Gazelle service and partnership benefits across priority market segments. Solidify internal best practices to capture optimal, repeatable approaches.

You have:
* At least 5 years experience in business development, preferably at a retail, wireless carrier and/or online company; Partner, program or product management experience to complement is a plus as is team management.
* Fluency regarding contracts and the contracting process of a deal (term sheet development, agreement comprehension and interpretation) and the know-how to work intelligently with Legal.
*Ability to articulate opportunities and program results in words and metrics; experience modeling and developing partner, project and program P&Ls in collaboration with Finance.

The Marketing Analyst will be in charge of tracking and improving the performance of Gazelle’s online marketing programs. Responsibilities include:
- Collecting and analyzing statistics relating to customer acquisition and advertising
- Maintaining the online marketing budget
- Managing search engine marketing, display advertising, affiliate and other online marketing programs
- Coordinating internal and external design resources to ensure punctual delivery of creative material
