Tag Heuer Meridiist 2 Luxury Phone: Be A “Baller” For Only $5300

Hot off the heels of the $4400 Gold HTC One, Swiss watch maker Tag Heuer has unveiled some luxury of their own. The Meridiist 2 luxury handset is a follow.

Hot off the heels of the announcement of the $4400 Gold HTC One, Swiss watch maker Tag Heuer unveiled some luxury of their own. The Tag Heuer Meridiist 2 phone is a follow up to the original luxury Meridiist released in 2008. This is the fourth phone produced by the Swiss luxury brand following the first-generation Meridiist, the Tag Link (2011) and the Tag Racer (2012) touchscreen phones.

The Meridiist 2 will have a complete scratch resistant sapphire crystal screen and an OLED watch face on the top of the phone. The Android powered device will also supposedly give you 28 days of standby time thanks to the new battery. The phone is constructed with the same Swiss craftsmanship as many of their timepieces and it is built from 316L grade stainless steel. Overall the handset is thinner, lighter and built better than its predecessor from 2008.

For a hefty $5300 the model is also equipped with 24 hour concierge service at the press of a button. Once pressed, a Tag Heuer representative will get you anything from a pizza to sporting event tickets. Tag has not confirmed what chip set or even what version of Android the phone runs. I suppose if you can afford this phone, those minor details really don’t matter. The Tag Heuer Meridiist 2 is basically about the “bling” factor, and the “baller” status that comes with it. If you “Wanna Be A Baller” I suggest to head to your local luxury watch store now.
