Samsung revealed the Samsung Galaxy NotePro and TabPro which will be offered in a variety of sizes which will focus on the high-end spectrum of the tablet market at CES this year.

First up from Samsung was the new NotePro tablet which sports a 12.2-inhc massive screen. The Note Pro 12.2-inch display sports a 2560 x 1600 resolution, Snapdragon quad-core processor from Qualcomm or Exynos 5 octa, 3 GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera, 2 MP front-facing camera, Android 4.4 KitKat OS and mega packed 9500 mAh battery unit.

The NotePro will also support all S-Pen features and sport the new Magazine UX interface found on the Note 10.1 2014 edition. In terms of connectivity the device will support WiFi a/b/g/n/ac with MIMO , USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 4.0 LE.Samsung is perhaps sticking it to Apple early, as the Cupertino giant has been heavily rumored to produce a 12-inch model of their own in 2014.

The new Note Pro 12.2 tablet will be available for sale this quarter, but Samsung did not reveal any details on pricing. I would expect to see a price point of about $699-$999 depending on storage capacity and LTE options.

If 12.2-inches is just too much tablet for you, Samsung also announced 3 new variations for the TabPro tablet. The new TabPro tablets will come in smaller 8.4″, 10.1″ and similar 12.2″ size options with varying hardware specifications. these tablets are said to be a step up from all previous “tab” series tablets and pair well with the high-end Galaxy S4 and Note 3.

The 12.2-inch Samsung Galaxy TabPro is essentially a 12.2-inch Notepro with no S-Pen support. The device features a 16:10 aspect LCD display, with a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution. This massive tablet will rock an 8-core Samsung Exynos processor (quad-core Snapdragon 800 on the 4G LTE model), an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 3GB of RAM, either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, microSDXC support, Bluetooth 4.0, an integrated infrared blaster, a 9,500 mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat.

Samsung rounds out their new tablets with both a 10.1-inch and 8.4-inch version of the TabPro. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 offers the same hardware as the 12.2, and keeps the same 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution display. This results in a clearer 298ppi pixel density thanks to the smaller screen. The 8.4-inch model which should appeal to most tablet consumers, features a super clear 8.4-inch display with WQXGA resolution (2560 x 1600). The tablet also sports a Snapdragon 800 2.3GHz quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, 8MP camera, 4800mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat.

All three of the new TabPro models were not given an exact launch date or price point from Samsung. With four new “Pro” models coming soon, the Korean company could be looking to take down the iPad once and for all. Samsung’s Galaxy tablets have really not performed that great when compared to their Galaxy line-up phones like the S3, S4 and Note series. With the launch of two oversize 12.2-inch models, Samsung could be starting another “Note” like trend. Yup that’s right, they might just be paving the way for a complete onslaught of massive sized tablets that could potentially shake up the tablet market in a “huge” way.
