So wipe that fake smile off your face \u2013 it\u2019s time to politely relieve yourself of that unwanted gift.<\/p>\n<p>Unless it\u2019s fruitcake, here are four ideas to turn that frown upside down and get rid of those unwanted gifts.<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">1. Re-Gift It<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Participating in a White Elephant or Yankee Swap \u2013 all staples of the office party \u2013 is bound to earn you a new dust collector for your home or office. The easy cure? Re-gift it. As long as it\u2019s in the original packaging, who will ever know?<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a02.\u00a0<\/strong><strong style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Donate It<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2012\/09\/12\/iphone-5-donate-old-phone_n_1878402.html\">The Huffington Post<\/a><\/em> showed me four great ways to turn trash into treasure. Soldiers, seniors and students are those most in need of electronics. No matter how outdated that device may seem to you, it could be a godsend to someone in need of phoning home. A tablet could be the perfect companion for so many of our military men and women who are serving overseas.<\/p>\n<p>The United Nations, through the University for Peace, is engaged in providing cellphones to low-income communities and more local organizations like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.toysfortots.org\/default.aspx\">Toys for Tots<\/a> are reputable ways to get rid of those pesky but trendy drone devices.<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">3. Exchange or Return It<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stores like Nordstrom or LL Bean <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bankrate.com\/finance\/smart-spending\/stores-return-policies.aspx#slide=1\">don\u2019t require a receipt of any kind<\/a>. Take those legendary Bean boots back for ones in the right size or something more useful altogether. And Nordstrom doesn\u2019t even have a return policy posted \u2013 they stand by the merchandise, 100%. If you\u2019re lucky enough to receive something that\u2019s exclusive to Nordstrom, you\u2019ll be in the perfect position for that return without anyone ever knowing.<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">4.
