Moto 360 Smartwatch Price and Specs Featured in Best Buy Listing

A highly anticipated Android Wear product has been spotted in a tell-all Best Buy listing that reveals the Motorola Moto 360 price and specs.

Best Buy recently posted a listing for one of the most highly anticipated Android Wear products. Until now, details on Motorola’s Moto 360 smartwatch have been minimal at best. Even so, industry experts have pegged this device to be the biggest competitive threat for Apple’s rumored iWatch.

Based on the listing pictured on GSMArena, Motorola’s watch is aesthetically a cut above the wearables and smartwatches currently on the market. The Moto 360 is the first smartwatch to retain the elegant and more fashionable appearance of a traditional designer timepiece. It features a familiar round face and interchangeable bands, which can range in type and style from leather to more classy metal wristbands.

Pricing Comparison

“Unsurprisingly, the listing shows the Moto 360 as ‘coming soon.’ The leaked price tag falls right in line with a past report, which suggested that the smartwatch would indeed be priced at $249,” GSMArena reports. That makes the upcoming Android Wear device slightly more expensive than the competition—the Samsung Gear Live is only $200, while the LG G Watch will fetch $229 from interested buyers. Will a more distinguished form factor and design sense be enough to warrant the heftier retail price?

Specifications

Based on the Best Buy listing, the device will have a 1.5-inch backlit LCD touchscreen. Previous images of the device on Motorola’s Moto 360 website reveal that the screen can show the traditional Android Wear user interface or a standard watch face display, with hands for hours and minutes. The display resolution is 320 by 290 with 205 pixels per inch.

Many functions on the Moto 360 will support voice commands. The new smartwatch is waterproof for 30 minutes up to three feet deep. Additionally, an array of fitness-monitoring features are on deck, as well as Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Do you think Best Buy got it right, or will we see some changes in the pricing and specifications as the launch date for the Moto 360 smartwatch approaches?
